This is a four generation picture taken in 1944. On the left is Grandma (Maggie), me (Paul), Dad (Alfred) and seated is Great Grandma (Anna Ebsen). This is the lady who was gored by the cow, walked home carrying her intestines in her apron, washed them at the pump and sewed herself up. Notice that she is wearing an apron; she is still prepared for emergencies!
